Committee Member

Sue Trevelyan-Jones

I was born and brought up in Kingston-upon-Thames and in my late twenties went out to South Africa and spent 15 years there, returning to live in north Wales in 1989 where I worked as a lecturer in further education for 15 years and for 11 years part time for Bangor University.

I joined the AMC/WAW committee in 2010 to ensure there was representation from north Wales though I have no qualifications in history, just a strong interest, particularly in women’s history. For too long ordinary women have been invisible in history, so WAW’s work is very important to ensure the record of women’s history in Wales is not lost and to recognise that herstory is as valid as history!
