This was a smaller but equally successful event. The Show was opened by Anna Tribe
a ‘many times’ granddaughter of Lord Nelson and Emma Hamilton.
Anna Tribe and Deidre Beddoe swap stories at Monmouth Roadshow
Girls dressed for folk dancing at Monmouth School for girls c1925.
The star of this show had to be a collection of personal effects from the now largely
forgotten, adopted sister of Ivor Novello, Marie, who was a much celebrated and recorded
pianist in the 1920s and 30s.
Her collection is fascinating ranging from stage clothes, to photos, programmes,
postcards and letters and even a signed photo from Enrico Caruso.
